Kindergarten Registration for 2012/13 School Year
The Dixie School District is now accepting registrations for the 2012/13 school year (school year to begin in late August 2012). Children who will be five years old on or before November 1, 2012, are eligible to enroll for Kindergarten classes. Your Kindergarten student will be guaranteed a space in your neighborhood school if you register by March 16, 2012. Timely registration is essential to plan for an accurate number of students. Please call the school in your attendance area for more information. School visitations will be on Tuesday, March 6th at campuses throughout the Dixie District. Details.

SCHOOLPOOL MARIN TRIPSHARING TO SCHOOL AND NOW AFTER SCHOOL & FREE PEET’S CARDS!
Tired of the drop-off and pick-up queue at school and chauffeuring your kids all over town after school? Feeling guilty about the effect on the environment? Need to find a carpool now that it’s starting to rain? SchoolPool Marin can help! Download the flyer here.
We are asking all families to visit SchoolPoolMarin.org which offers an easy way to find carpools or walking, biking and bus buddies to school AND now to after-school events like sports practices and games, rehearsals, classes, after-school care-any destinations you input.
How does it work, you say? The website e-mails a match list of other registered parents who travel along the same route as you to school or other events. Only the name and contact info that you provide is on the lists. If needed, you can expand the range to find other parents to meet at a rendezvous point.
There is no obligation. You e-mail or phone each other to discuss your schedules and to see what works. There are tips for forming new SchoolPools. Please take a few minutes to check it out and to sign-up!

CAN DO! Family Giving Campaign
To all Parents and Volunteers:
TB tests for parent volunteers. Please get a copy of a current TB test to our school office when you can. This is a compliance issue that we need to be on top of for health and auditing purposes.
